In March 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic changed everyday life. The Sharing Center
was able to adapt during this time, managing relationships with clients and fostering
new community partnerships meant to further accessibility to necessary programs
and services.
While operations were altered, the commitment to the safety and care of clients,
employees, and volunteers remained of the utmost importance. Enhanced cleaning
measures, limited in-person services, car side pick-up, and free deliveries allowed
the Center to continue to provide support to Western Kenosha County residents
without a compromise to health and safety of all.
In August 2021, nearly 18 months after the Pandemic hit, the Sharing Center hosted
several walk-in vaccination clinics in partnership with Kenosha County Health
Department, Kenosha Community Health Center, Inc., and Advocate Aurora Health.
Hosting these types of events in Western Kenosha County bridges the gap in access
that can be a barrier to community members.
